Fuelled with a passion to surround themselves with beautiful things, husband and wife duo Sue and Paul were quick to jump at the chance of owning their own cafe in their home village of Rhossili when the opportunity arose in 2005.

Not believing for a second that their offer would be accepted, their lives changed overnight when their dream became a reality! Quickly they became on-the-job foodies, and it wasn’t long before the ‘The Bay’ established a name for itself with tourists and locals alike.

Today, it also boasts a lovely gallery selling beautiful gifts, homewares and consumables inspired by the sea, and has become Rhossili’s go-to hangout for refuelling, relaxing and shopping.

Our Business

‘The Bay’ sits at the top of Rhossili cliffs, overlooking the steep rise of Rhossili Downs to the right, and the sweeping sand of Rhossili Bay to the left. Its charming beachy décor features stripped back tables, painted chairs and boasts an eclectic mix of gifts that can’t help but catch your eye.

Its laid-back vibe entices those who are looking for real food and a warm welcome as part of their Rhossili experience. Walkers, children and bikers spill in all year round to enjoy a great coffee, fresh food and a break from the elements.

Our seasonal menu is freshly prepared daily, with ingredients sourced from local small-holders and suppliers. We are thrilled to work with our local business and community partners to bring your the finest flavours and quality produce, which always pass the taste test! All our food is made in-house daily by our head chef and baker.
